Based on the concept of an “Academic Village”, the Science and Technology Centre creates a intellectual hub at a busy intersection. Here the landscape connects seamlessly as “streets” through the building, establishing the public realm as part of the learning environment. Utilizing the sloping site, a sequence of paths and outdoor space connect multiple entrances to the heart of the building. Green roofs, connectivity and native plants provide part of the basis for the building’s LEED certification.
