Greely South Parks included the comprehensive design and delivery of 3 local parks between 2011 and 2016. The parks are related to each other due to geographic proximity and the repetition of some design elements; however, they also feature individual identities and serve their local communities. South Village Park (0.5ha) is a parkette geared toward families with young children.  It has a short pedestrian loop and play structures with a “nature” theme that is reflected in the amenities and specified plant material. Pebble Trail Woods (0.5ha) is an active parkette developed within an existing woodlot; it includes pedestrian loops and an activity circuit. In addition to the activity nodes, different surfaces are provided along the path to provide interest. Pebble Trail Park (1.25ha) is a larger active neighbourhood park. It features pathways, a parking lot, junior and senior play structures, swings, a shade structure, a mini soccer field and a basketball court. NAK’s scope of work included: preparation of concept plans and preliminary cost estimates including a budget overview of all parks; preparation of presentation panels and presentation at a public open house; preparation of working drawings and tender documents; provision of tender support; management of sub-consultants; contract administration; completion of acceptance and warranty inspections.
