Landscape elements engage with the site topography by integrating design elements within the existing site conditions. The conference centre is a series of buildings designed to be connected, physically and visually through a series of outdoor terraces and gardens. The transition landscape and gardens evoke the proper balance of outdoor space, landforms, pedestrian passages and planted zones to offer plants as a design medium. An abundance of herbaceous plants, grasses, shrubs, trees, and conifers occurring at several layers, create a refreshing atmosphere of colour, texture, fragrance and interest throughout the four seasons. Stone walls, pavers, and pebbles mark the landscape.
