DESIGN INTENT

The Calgary Villains Football Club (CVFC) has established itself as a highly successful non-profit soccer club in southeast Calgary, delivering competitive athlete development programs for youth and adults. To expand beyond its existing indoor training facilities and outdoor natural fields, CVFC partnered with NAK as prime consultant to lead the design, approvals, and project management of the new Villains Dome at their established site.

The Villains Dome is situated in south central Calgary at the club’s primary location (adjacent to their indoor training facility and clubhouse). This state-of-the-art addition features a FIFA Quality playing surface inside the dome, providing a full-size, high-performance indoor field for year-round training, matches, and community use.

Construction on the Villains Dome commenced in June 2025, achieving substantial completion earlier this month in January 2026. NAK served as Project Manager and Owner’s Representative throughout, engaging and coordinating all architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless delivery. NAK also oversaw the full commissioning process to bring the facility online successfully.

The Villains Dome is set to become a landmark addition to Calgary’s sporting landscape, offering a top-tier indoor facility that enhances training and competition opportunities for CVFC members and the broader soccer community. This project underscores CVFC’s commitment to growth and excellence, supported by NAK’s expertise in delivering high-impact community infrastructure.
