Anti-Asian Racism: Zero Tolerance

NAK Design Strategies wishes to state that it condemns anti-Asian violence and the racism that Asian communities continue to face globally.  The mistreatment and violence inflicted upon Asian men, women, and children, including the recent surge in attacks against Asian Americans and the March 16 shootings in Atlanta, Georgia, whereby eight people were killed, has appalled and resonated with good citizens around the world.

NAK stands united with fellow corporations and individuals to preserve and protect the richness of diversity and the sanctity of all human life.  In doing so, NAK recognizes that it is crucial to educate ourselves; support advocacy groups; promote anti-racism awareness in our workplace by engaging staff in the conversation; and by providing an internal platform for addressing and eradicating the discrimination Asians face.  NAK is committed to ensuring this conversation continues past the current news headlines and results in meaningful proactive action in support of justice, equity, and inclusion.

Black Lives Matter

In light of recent disturbing events, NAK Design Strategies wishes to categorically state that it condemns anti-Black violence and the racism that the Black community continues to face. The mistreatment and violence inflicted upon black men, women and children, including that which was most recently evidenced during interactions with police officers in the United States, has appalled and resonated with good citizens around the world. This in turn has spurred protests that have burgeoned into a movement of global solidarity on the issue. NAK stands united with fellow corporations and individuals to preserve and protect the richness of diversity, and the sanctity of human life. As landscape architects and urban designers, we influence our world by bringing order, harmony and a space for all upon which to find common ground. We will act responsibly and with urgency in support of justice, equity, and inclusion.
