DESIGN INTENT
NAK was responsible for master plan, concept and design for this new park located in Brampton West. The 3.5 hectare Sandalwood Heights Adventure Park will offer a wide range of non-traditional recreation, fitness, and play activities for people of all ages, abilities, and cultural backgrounds. Parks Projects staff worked with NAK Design Strategies to ensure design features encourage creativity, art, imagination and learning amongst youth. The project is currently under construction and is set to be completed by the summer of 2026.
Park elements include: outdoor parkour circuit, splash pad, basketball courts, community gardens, community Building with washrooms and a meeting room, alternative learning spaces for nearby schools, open lawn areas, shade shelters, game tables, safe off-leash dog park, and an urban forest.
