Design Intent

The development of the prominent 90 Queen’s Park site on the University of Toronto property is a nexus of culture, education, commerce, and entertainment. This presents a unique and exciting design challenge that will bring a diverse collection of institutions together under one roof.

Landscaped areas will include a new forecourt plaza fronting onto Queen’s Park and leading to the main building entry, a green roof component and additional pedestrian connections between Queen’s Park and Philosopher’s Walk. The landscaped forecourt will provide a welcoming presence to the building and its various components with several green spaces stepping to the building to capture the architectural style of the building. The space intends to draw students to the exterior space, providing seating nook for studying and socializing.
